Liar Dice is a popular dice game in Asia. Players can roll a “hand” of dice to chance their luck and compete with players across the globe effortlessly. Bluff and call bluff to see who the master of deception is.
Game Process
Each player is given five dice.
There are six face values in each dice, their values in descending order are (1) > (6) > (5) > (4) > (3) > (2).
The first player has to state a bid consisting of a face value ( (1) , (5) etc) and a quantity. The bid represents the player's guess of results of all dice. e.g. two (4), three (2). The quantity of the first bid must not be less than two.
The next player may either name a higher bid OR reveal dice:
Name a higher bid
The higher bid should either have a larger face value or quantity, e.g. three (5) is larger than two (6); four (1) is larger than four (6). Two players take turns until any of the player selects to Reveal Dice. There is an exception, where a player may name "sole" together with a smaller face value than previous bid.
Reveal Dice
A player can challenge the current bid and all players would reveal dice. If the bid is matched or exceeded, the player who made the bid wins. Yet if the bid is not matched, the challenger wins.
Payout
Winners will be paid 1 for 1 minus 3% commission. Losers will lose their bet.
Disconnection, quitting or non response within time limit
If any player is disconnected during matching an opponent, the game would be cancelled and no fee would be deducted from players.
After two players are matched, the game round would proceed regardless of disconnection, quitting or nonresponse within time limit. The system would make decision on behalf of player based on the following rules:
- if the first player does not make a timely bid, the system would name three (1) on behalf of him.
- starting from second round, the system would "reveal dice" if a player does not make a timely decision.
- after disconnection or quitting game, a player may re-enter the game to continue if he is reconnected in time.
